Sun with loving light ~ 2/52 ~

[Joining Bella Cirovic at 52 Photos Project - Week 2:  Let the Sunshine In]

It has been dark and rainy the past few days, so capturing this photograph took a lot of patience and trust.  I waited patiently for the sun to come out.  And trusted that I would capture both sunlight and shadows on this painting, a watercolour created by my son last year during grade one.

(an excerpt from my son’s grade one morning verse)

The Sun with loving light
Makes bright for me each day
~ Rudolf Steiner

Exhaustion.  Pain.  Anxiety.  Despair.  My son and I have had our share of dark days together.  Our journey continues, yet with patience, trust, and love, much love, there has also been healing.  Through it all, the light and the dark,

My son, “with loving light, makes bright for me each day”.

  1. Such a beautiful picture your son has painted. I love the added greenery, light, shadows, that you’ve captured along with it. Wishing you lots of love and light on this path as you and your son heal and grow with each other.

  2. your patience in waiting for the light to capture this photo no doubt carries over into your life with your son. this capture, your words…big metaphor for your relationship with your son. so touching.
